THE OIL INDUSTRY: The Mexican paradox

Although Mexico is a major exporter of crude oil to the US, it is in fact only just a net exporter of energy and hydrocarbons. Mexico's gas-fuelled power stations depend, currently, on gas from the US. Mexico also imports large amounts of fuels and petrochemicals from the US. So when the US frets about its energy security, Mexico should be quaking as well.
